The State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector bank, has invited applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 8283 vacancies across various states and union territories in India.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard examination from a recognized Board or University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
- Age Limit: The age of the candidates should not be less than 20 years and not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2024. Relaxation in age limit is applicable for reserved categories.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the specified opted local language of the State/UT for which they are applying.

Selection Process:
The selection process for this recruitment will consist of two stages:
1. Preliminary Examination: A preliminary examination will be conducted online, consisting of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Computer Knowledge.
2. Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear for the main examination, which will also be conducted online. The main examination will consist of English Language, General Banking, and Computer Aptitude.
3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Qualified candidates from the main examination will be called for document verification and medical examination.
Important Dates:
- Online Registration of Application and Payment of Fees: 17.11.2023 to 07.12.2023
- Preliminary Examination: Tentatively in January 2024
- Main Examination: Tentatively in February 2024
Application Procedure:
Interested candidates can apply online through the SBI website from 17th November 2023 to 7th December 2023. The application fee is Rs. 750/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs. 0/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
