Under Right To Education (RTE) Act, 25 % students in private schools have to admitted for free. This process is implemented online in Maharashtra and selection is done by lottery among the applied candidates. Selected students entitled with free education and other benefits which paid by government to theses private schools.
In Maharashtra this process to admit students under RTE 25% quota for academic year 2022-23 has been started from 16 February, 2022 (Wednesday). There will be application open window for inviting applications. After that a Allotment round will be conducted online. One selection list and waiting list will be generated and according to these lists admission are done. If required extra application and admission rounds will be conducted.

RTE Act was passed in 2009 to facilitate school education in private schools to economically weaker section of the society.
