Department of Telecom (DOT) has recently launched a portal called Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management & Consumer Protection (TAF-COP). It helps to protect subscriber interest by telecom companies.
The website is developed to check how many connections are running in the name of subscriber. Subcriber can manage these connections. Currently there is limit of nine connections per subscriber. Subscriber can close any of these connection on TAF-COP portal by raising tickets.
For this purpose telecom subscriber has to login with any one of the numbers in his name. A OTP is send that number. On verification of OTP subsciber presented a screen showing all the connections in his name. If any thing abnormal, subscriber can raise a ticket to report issue to Telecom Department (DOT).
Currently this facility is available to Andra Pradesh & Telengana Consumers.
