Voter ID Linking To Aadhar Has Been Started

As the Election Law (Amendment) Bill 2021 has been passed, Election Commission (EC) has started to link Voter ID to Aadhar. New Bill states Voter ID to Aadhar linking process is the voluntarily process. Voter has to decide if they wish to provide their Aadhar information or not. Election Commission of  various states has started this process already. The Aadhar linking process will eliminate duplicate entries of voters and make Voter ID Card portable.

In Maharashtra, Voter ID to Aadhar link process has been started from 01 August, 2022. Recently Election Commission of Maharashtra has announced this. Now Elect-roll are updated by every three months. New voters can register one year prior to their eligibility age.

There are five ways to link your Voter ID to Aadhar. These are as follows:

  1. At NVSP Portal,
  2. At VOTER Portal,
  3. At Voter Helpline App,
  4. At Camps organized by State ECs,
  5. At BLO approaching you.

For this voter has to Register/Login first at respective portal or app, then search for Form-6B, Fill the Form-6B with Voter ID number, Aadhar number, Mobile number and E-Mail ID and submit. You can follow these simple steps they are very easy. Or, wait for camp to be organized by EC at you nearby place.

Linking to be done before deadline of 31 March, 2023.
