Citizens now, can use Digilocker on their WhatsApp. You can fetch documents from Digilocker directly on WhatsApp. MEITY made available a WhatsApp Number 9013151515 to citizens, by registering on this number you can get Digilocker services. Presently not all the services provided by Digilocker is not available. Only some of them made available on pilot basis. In near future you can get all the documents on WhatsApp.
Steps to get Digilocker documents on WhatsApp:
- STEP – I
Save Digilocker WhatsApp Number 9013151515 in your Contact list & Refresh.
- STEP – II
Send “Hi” to Digilocker on WhatsApp & Register/Login your Digilocker via Aadhar OTP.
- STEP – III
Select the document you want to fetch by typing respective number, that’s it.
Digilocker will send you document you have selected. This service is the initiative by MEITY stepping towards new Digital India. Aiming to widening scope of Digilocker a free document locker service from MEITY. Achieving near goal of “Your documents anytime, anywhere”.
