Loan Schemes For Person With Disability (PWD) From NHFDC

National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation (NHFDC) is the apex institute to channelize the funds for Person With Disability (PWD). It is the corporation incorporated under companies act and run by the governing body appointed by Government Of India. Today, we are introducing two main loan schemes from NHFDC. These schemes are very useful for Person With Disabilities (PWD) having disability of 40% or more. These schemes are as follows:

• Divyangjan Swavlamban Scheme

This is the flagship scheme for the assistance of needy disabled persons with concessional interest loans for economic & overall development. Loan up to Rs. 50 Lacs per beneficiary is given. Nature of loan could be term loan or working capital loan for starting any direct or indirect activity helping in income generation for PWD. Repayment period is 10 years from date of disbursement. There will no early re-payment penalty. This scheme is covered under CGTMSE for collateral s. Please go through official document attached in resources section for details.

• Vishesh Microfinance Scheme

This scheme is for socioeconomic development of person with disability and implemented through State Channelizing Agencies (SCA) according to SIDBI & NABARD norms defined time to time. It offers loan up to Rs. 60,000/-. Repayment period will be 3 years. Collateral security will be through post dated cheque leaves. Generally, this schemes are conjectured with Micro Finance Institutions (MFI), state livelihood missions and such programs for implementation. These above schemes are ongoing schemes. For further details you may contact your state SCA`s. Person with disability (PWD) can even apply online through Common Service Centers (CSC). NHFDC has partnering with CSC E-Governance Services for this project.  Needy disabled persons should approach nearest CSC with necessary documents. Keep ready your project report while applying.
