Unified Payment Interface (UPI) system by National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) is most used digital payments system in India and its use increasing day by day. Due to ever increasing use, too many challenges are faced by users concerning to its safety & security. Recently, NPCI issued some tips to users of UPI system to operate it safely & securely. These are as follows:
FOR SAFE & SECURE UPI PAYMENTS:

Enter UPI PIN only to deduct money from your account.

UPI PIN is not required to receive money.

Check receivers name on verifying UPI ID.

Do not pay without verifying UPI ID.

Use UPI PIN only on the UPI PIN page.

Do not share UPI PIN anywhere except UPI PIN page.

Scan QR code only to make payments & not for receiving money.

Do not download any screen sharing App on your mobile.

Do not download any SMS forwarding App on your mobile.
Users of UPI system do follow these tips to avoid any fraud. These are the preventive measures to keep your bank account connected to UPI App safe & secure. To keep updated, visit periodically the official web page of NPCI specially developed for challenges in this field. I think this NPCI web page will be very informative to users regarding UPI payment system.
Use facility provided in UPI App itself to deal with stuck transactions. If your transaction is not materialized, money will be refunded within 48 hours. To report use your UPI App only.
Despite of these preventive measures if you have to face any accidental fraud, UPI users should contact Bank & nearest Police Station immediately and report. As early as you report there are most likely chances to get money back. There is online facility available to report these types of frauds at cyber crime reporting portal as soon as they occurs.
