Government had announced a single Common Eligibility Test (CET) for the recruitment of Group B & C non Gazetted, non technical posts in Government Sector. A National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is to constituted for this purpose on the basis of National Testing Agency (NTA) for Education Sector which is already working. The new NRA will conduct a common eligibility test for all Government job aspirants two times in a year. Each aspirant have three chances to appear for CET exam. Best out of three will be considered as a valid score. List of which is made available to recruiting organization on cost sharing basis. Score will valid for three years from first appearance to CET.
The CET will be conducted in three level, separate for Graduates, HSC and SSC level jobs. While there will be two stages of recruitment. In first, NRA will conduct CET for aspirants and out of which eligible candidates will go for stage two. In stage two, SSC, RRB and IBPS will conduct specialized test suitable according to post to recruit. Institutes like SSC, RRB and IBPS will play their role in stage two.
This new system will help candidate from rural areas more. There will be a exam center for every district of India. Candidates have to travel for district place only, this saves time and cost for efforts to appear for exam. The test will Computer based i.e Online. This newly under constitution recruitment agency will start its operation from December 2020. The first CET will conducted by the end of the year 2020.
