Ayushman Bharat also called Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) has been launched on 15 August, 2018. This ambitious Health Insurance Scheme run by government has coverage of Rs 500000/- per year per family. This scheme is intended for the peoples whose name is enrolled in SECC Database in 2011 Census as a Below Poverty Line (BPL). The eligible beneficiaries get the letter to enroll their names in PMJAY from the government. The beneficiary has to visit nearest Common Service Center (CSC) for the enrollment.
